Yeah. So good afternoon everyone. On behalf of AI committee of ICI, we are pleased to welcome you all in today's live webinar on Python for chartered accountant. Automate task, analyze data and unlock insights. As we all know, artificial intelligence and automation are changing the way chartered accountant work. Python is one of the most useful tool that can help us automate repetitive tasks, analyze large amounts of financial data and improve our efficiency. And we would like to appraise that uh Python is the uh part of AIC level two certificate course and we have full dedicated day three on the Python. So today's webinar we will learn how chartered accountant can use Python in their day-to-day professional work even without having a technical background. So at the outset I would like to express our sincere gratitude to our respected ICI president CA Prasha Kumar D and Vice President CA Mangesh Kinar GI for their continuous guidance encouragement and support towards the initiative of AI committee. I would like to also extend our heartful thank to CA Singh Nandi the chairman of AI committee and immediate past president of ICI for his visionary leadership and continuous effort to promote AI adoption among chartered accountants. Our sincere thanks to CA Umesh Sharma Gi, vice chairman of AI committee for his valuable guidance and constant support. We are delighted to have both uh both of us today's expert speakers CA Boraj who is the faculty of AIC level two and level one and CAR go. Yeah. Yeah. Uh good afternoon everyone uh for joining this webinar and I thank I committee and ICI for this wonderful opportunity uh for making a valuable sessions. Hope all the participants uh have uh finished successfully their tax audit season. So today here we are where we can learn about Python and how to make use Python in your audits or else in your office especially for those who are in practice and also from industry. So before uh going on to the session participants can just take a quick screenshot of this QR code. Whatever is being uh discussed or dealt during this entire webinar all those resources are hosted on a Google Drive link through this QR code. you will be able to reach out to that link and uh you can uh uh use those resources during the session and after the session also which will be handy for you also I will share the Google drive link in the chatbot so that if anybody having issues for accessing uh the Q it through QR code they can uh reach out via link as I hope every participant has taken a screenshot or scanned this QR code. Now let us without further ado let us go into the session. So in the Google drive link you will be having a HTML file named Python guide. So this HTML file you just keep it handy. This will tell you all the basic things in Python like how to install Python. uh what are the libraries that are present in uh py inside Python and especially the libraries that are useful for CS and I will also speak about what is a library inside a Python so that uh you will have a little understanding before we start doing live demonstration of various use cases that are useful for charted accountants and also our another speaker Atras will also guide you through various ways of running a Python code and how to develop a Python code and all uh wherever necessary I will also uh take you through that process. So I will just quickly share this uh HTML file in the chat window so that those who aren't able to access it sir can we share the link again most people so the QR code is the link itself. Yeah, QR code is the link itself. But uh no problem. I can share the Google trail link as well. I think it is with the tech team. They can share or else I will also share it. No problem.

Yeah. So before we uh kick start in uh really start using Python, let me take couple of minutes if I I'll just take five minutes to tell what is Python and why is it powerful and why CA should start using it in their day-to-day practice. Just think it way like Python is an empty wooden rack. If uh in our childhood or some point of time in our life we might have gone to public libraries or your school libraries or college libraries right and if you go into a library you see wooden racks where lot of books are there uh which consumes lot of knowledge now but this time when you are going you are seeing an empty wooden rack is that empty wooden rack useful to you? No. Right? Unless there are plenty of books inside that wooden rack that wooden rack doesn't serve any purpose to you. Similarly, Python is a powerful software. It is like a wooden rack and inside that wooden rack instead of books if I say there are libraries which means inside Python software there are lacks of libraries which are developed by Python community developers across the globe. Suppose say I am an enthusiast Python developer. I developed a library for handling an Excel file using Python. Python will handle the Excel file. It will play with the Excel file. So for that it needs a library called pandas. Now pandas is a library within Python software. So all these libraries make Python powerful. So the very first step we have to do is open this HTML file and click on the first tab install Python. Here there will be a link. If you click it will ask you to down allow for download of Python file or else you can even go to Python website and download it from there and then you will have uh once you have downloaded that file you have to double click that so that it will get installed. While installing there is one precautionary step that you have to take. Once you download Python file and double click it this setup window will pop up. Before clicking on install now you should hold for a few seconds and you should definitely check whether these two check boxes are whether these two check boxes are ticked. If uh once those are ticked then only you have to go and click on install now. Without checking these two check box check boxes if you click on install now though Python is getting installed on your laptop it will not connect with your laptop environment. It will behave independently. It it can't run any Python applications. So while installing you have to take care that these two check boxes are appropriately ticked. Then only you have to click on install. Now once that is done, you have successfully downloaded a big wooden rack into your laptop. Now our job is to fill that wooden rack with as many libraries as possible. There are almost five lakh plus libraries in this world for Python. But we as a chartered accountants need not worry about all those five lakh libraries. Now if you come back to this HTML file, if you click on install libraries here, I have mentioned few libraries, these we can install. I will tell how to install these libraries as well. Simply you have to click on copy in the HTML file and press Windows R. Then you will get a popup. Here you have to type cmd which means command prompt and click okay. Once we click that we just have to simply paste that command here. This command is nothing but in one single go we are going to download multiple libraries and fill the Python uh so that now Python gets more power with all these libraries. For example, this command says pip install selenium is one library. Plotly is one library. Streamlit is one library. Pi pdf is py mu pdf is one library. Plumber is one library. like all these libraries are very much useful to uh chartered accountants in their day-to-day work. So pip install whenever you want to install a new library you have to come to command prompt and just type pip space install library name. Suppose tomorrow you are going to download a new library called ptq for beautiful user interface. You just have to say pip install ptq some. So like that if you want to download pandas then pi install space pandas. Sir people are trying to slow you down a little bit. Sorry.

Uh people want a little bit slower actually.

Yeah. Yeah. No problem. No problem. We will take it little slow until they get little hands on this Python. So you can see here I have just pasted the command which is there in the HTML file. In the HTML file I did nothing. Just I clicked on copy. Then I clicked Windows R. Then I clicked cmd. Then I pressed paste. Control V. That's it. So once we paste that command we just have to hit enter. Now you can see for me since all the libraries are already installed it is saying requirement already satisfied. In your case it will say downloading downloading like that. Now pip is nothing but he is a manager inside a python file inside the python software. What pip will do is whenever you name some library he will automatically go to internet he will bring that library and he will put it inside your python software in your laptop so that it saves a lot of time we need not go to internet we need not search for certain library and install it so pip this manager pip will help us to do that I hope we are clear till here those whoever is trying to install Python As of now they can do it at the back end but uh in order to save time we will go into live demonstrations very shortly but till here if there are any questions they just can put it in the chat box.

It can be a little bit difficult to you know work with our speed. Actually the plan for this webinar is to showcase rather than also uh adapt other people to work with us. However
